Dr. Jyoti Chandiramani has more than 26 years of experience, teaching a wide range of subjects such as Microeconomics, Managerial Economics Macroeconomics, International Economics, Indian Banking System and Monetary Economics at the Undergraduate and Post Graduate level. She has completed her Ph.D. from Pune University, on “Foreign Direct Investment & Corporate Response: An Empirical Study With Reference To Structure & Growth of a Select Sample of Firms in India”. Besides being a visiting faculty, she has developed courses for MBA (I) at SIBM, SITM, SIIB & SCMHRD. She has also conducted a large number of Management Development Programs for corporates, such as WIPRO, AZTEC, HP, Intel, Godrej, Zensar Technologies, WNS, Cognizant, EXL, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, Continum Solutions, Dr. Reddy’s etc. Dr. Chandiramani has also presented papers at conferences and seminars in India, besides writing two books – one on International Economics for Narendra Prakashan which is a prescribed Text Book for TYBCom at the Pune University and the other on International Trade for Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning. She has been awarded a short-term scholarship at the University of DePauw, Indianapolis - to study Liberal Arts Education and has been a Core Committee Member of the Symbiosis Centre for Liberal Arts, as well.
Dr. Roudra Chakraborty

Dr. Roudra Chakraborty is a Ph.D. in Mathematics. He has done his research for Ph.D. in Jadavpur University Kolkata after qualifying NET, conducted jointly by UGC and CSIR. Prior to that he had completed his Masters in Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. His research papers on pitch tracking of acoustic signals has been published in renowned international journals like Signal, Image and Video Processing from Springer and various national and international conference proceedings like ones in University of Delhi, Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi, University of Cambridge etc. He is also a member of Mensa International, London, an international high-IQ society. Currently, he is Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Statistics and Quantitative Techniques in Symbiosis School of Economics.
Mrs. Pallavi Tak Rai

Mrs. Pallavi Tak Rai is from Rajasthan. She is an alumni of St. Mary’s S.H.S. School, Ajmer and has done her Bachelors in Commerce and Masters in Economics from MDS University, Ajmer. She has to her credit Gold Medal in MA Economics (MDSU, 2003), NET, SLET (Economics, 2005). She has a teaching experience of 5 years and industrial experience of 2 years in marketing and training. Her areas of interest are – Development Economics, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Real Estate Planning, Innovations and Women Empowerment. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. from Symbiosis International University. As an Assistant Professor at SSE, besides teaching she takes care of student club activities and college magazine. Being student friendly in approach she happily participates, in various institute building responsibilities, like organizing various educational and industrial trips, events and workshops for the students.
Mr. Santanu Ray Chaudhuri

Mr. Santanu Ray Chaudhuri is SLET qualified and was also awarded State-funded Scholarship for research work. He is B.Sc. (honours) in Economics with Physics and Mathematics; and Masters in Economics with specialization in Econometrics and Statistics. He is also M.Phil. with first class in Environmental Science with Dissertation in Environmental Economics from Jadavpur University. He has experience as Research Assistant in DSA funded project at Department of Economics, Jadavpur University and also got selected for World Bank Symposium that was conducted by Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. He is already registered for Ph.D. which is on the verge of completion on, “Economic Inequality and Growth: An Indian Perspective” at Burdwan University, West Bengal. He has presented several research papers in both National and International Conferences, some of which held and conducted at University of Calcutta, Vidyasagar University, Burdwan University, Jadavpur University, Institute of Economic Growth, and at other institutes of repute. Presently he is Assistant Professor in Economics at SSE and also Co-ordinator of the Examination Cell SSE. His domains of interest are Growth Economics, Environmental Economics and Quantitative and Applied Econometrics.
Ishita Ghosh

Ishita Ghosh is a researcher and PhD student, and has been a faculty associated with various academic institutions in Pune, especially with SIU and UoP. With over 7 years of work experience, she has a Masters in Economics – specialized in Trade and Development. Currently, Ishita is working on urban policy and planning for Maharashtra with special emphasis on Energy, Economic Policy and Governance with a think tank and Trade related Development under the mentorship of her Doctoral Guide at the UoP. She has also had a brief stint in the corporate and was associated with Franklin Templeton, IDBI Bank and the EXIM Bank.
Mr. Krishna Kanta Roy

Mr. Krishna Kanta Roy is NET qualified and he has done his Post Graduation in Economics and is currently pursuing M.Phil in Economics from University of Pune. He has done his B.Sc Economics (Honours) from Calcutta University. He has 3.5 years of corporate experience in different companies like, CMIE, ValueNotes, etc. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in Economics. Additionally, Mr. Roy handles the sports activities, admissions and Website designing and updation for SSE. His areas of interest are Poverty, Microfinance, Rural Development, Welfare Economics and Stock Markets.
Mrs. Rachna Shah

Mrs. Rachna Shah hails from Jabalpur. She has done her Bachelors in Science, Bachelors in Education, Masters in Economics, M.Phil in Economics and M.A. in English Literature from Rani Durgawati Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur, Madhay Pradesh. She was the highest scorer (gold medalist) in M.A. Economics at R.D.V.V. Her areas of interest are Mathematical Economics, Research Methodologies, Development and Growth of India, Water Management and English Literature. She has a teaching experience of 6 years. Currently she is a doing research on Wetland Management for Ph.D. She is an Assistant Professor for Quantitative Techniques and Indian Economics at Symbiosis School of Economics.
Dr. Sukalpa Chakrabarti

Dr. Sukalpa Chakrabarti (Asst. Professor, Public Policy & International Relations) has been teaching across specializations at UG to PG levels for over 9 years now. Her areas of interest are International Relations, Politics & Public Policy, International Business Management, and Corporate Social Responsibility & Organizational Behavior. Her Ph.D thesis submitted to University Of Pune (Dept of Politics) involved a study of the “Political Response of India with regard to Intellectual Property Rights and Agriculture at the WTO.” She is also UGC NET qualified, having done her graduation and post graduation from Presidency College, University of Calcutta, and had earned the distinction of topping the university at graduation. She has done her post graduation in International Business Management & Marketing from MITSOM, Pune. She has attended various seminars, presented a paper in an international conference and has also authored a book on Contemporary International Relations. She has designed and developed courses for autonomous master’s programmes at AIBM & MITSOG, Pune, during her stints there as faculty.
Dr. Meenal Annachhatre

Dr. Meenal Annachhatre has done her Ph.D. in the ‘Foreign Exchange Derivatives Market in India’, from University of Pune. After her PGDFT and Masters in Economics from University of Pune, she was associated with Crisil (Credit Rating Information Services of India Ltd) Economy Group, Mumbai for almost three years. She has also worked as a visiting faculty at University of Pune at post-graduate level. Her areas of interest are International Economics, International Finance and Public Finance. Presently she is an Assistant Professor of International Financial Management and Development Economics at Symbiosis School of Economics.

Dr. V. Kalyan Shankar

V. Kalyan Shankar is a PhD (Economics) from the University of Pune. His doctoral research is based on the emergence and deepening of value chain formations in manufactures in Southeast Asia. Previously, he has been a visiting faculty at the University of Pune at the Departments of Economics, Management Sciences and Sociology. An economist by qualification, his research interests are more inter-disciplinary. He has worked in several strands of development economics, combined with inputs from gender studies, education and cultural globalization. Some of his co-authored research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Economic and Political Weekly and Higher Education. Within the area of gender, he has co-edited the volume, ‘Prostitution and Beyond’ published by Sage (2008).

Ms. Khushbu B. Thadani

Ms. Khushbu B. Thadani is from Shillong, Meghalaya. She has completed her schooling from Shillong after which she moved to Pune to pursue her further education. She has done her Bachelors in Economics from St Mira’s College, Pune and Masters in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune. She has been a rank holder from Shillong for her board exams .She has also been a topper and a rank holder for her Bachelors and Masters in Economics. Her areas of interest are Microeconomics, Development Economics and Industrial Economics. For the past 1 year, she has been a part of the administrative and academic departments of SSE. At present she is Teaching Assistant at SSE. She has been conducting lectures in Industrial Economics and Indian Economy. Apart from this Ms. Khushbu is an ardent follower of yoga and meditation and an avid reader of philosophy.

Ms. Ishita Ghoshal

Ms. Ishita Ghoshal has studied at Carmel High School, Kolkata, and done her B.Sc. in Economics (hons) with Mathematics and Statistics from Lady Brabourne College, Calcutta University, and went on to pursue her M.A in Economics from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune. Her areas of interests are Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, International trade. And currently she is teaching Macroeconomics and Econometrics.
