From the first year of commencement Symbiosis School of Economics has participated and emerged victorious in a number of prestigious national level and international festivals. The participants have performed remarkably under stress and competitive pressures. The teachers have also supported the participants at every point of time and without the heartfelt hard work of the teachers, the various achievements would not have been possible.
The students of Symbiosis School of Economics participated in the International Hindu Model United Nations held from 17th to 20th August 2010, organized by the Hindu College, Delhi University. Model United Nations are an excellent platform for the students to gain experience on the political, foreign and economic policy making for countries. The students of SSE took part in various United Nations sessions like General Assembly, Human Rights Council, Security Council and UNDP.
The students of SSE had the best opportunity to interact with students from all over the country who had gathered to voice their opinion on countries represented by them. This was indeed a learning exercise for the budding economists and future diplomats of our nation.
The Department of Economics of Madras Christian College organized “ARTHA 2010” an intercollegiate fest on the 18-19th January, 2010. The topic in focus this year was “Emerging Livelihood Issues: Shifting Development Paradigms”. Competitions focused on the underlying theme of Crisis Management and the emerging importance of environment and development on the global level. ARTHA has been a milestone in the way to the students overall growth. It has also made their path to success glorious by imbibing in the students the quality of managing the best out of given resources. Kollagen is the annual inter-collegiate festival of Kohinoor Business School and Center for Management Research, Khandala. It is one of front ranking business schools in India. This year the fest was held on the 18th and 19th of December. Around 30 students from Symbiosis School of Economics participated in 14 different events of the fest. The events helped the students to show case academic and cultural talent in various areas and nurture their business dreams.The various events in which the students participated were Paper Presentation, Case Study, Business Quiz, Roman Launcher, Ad Zap, JAM, and various fun events such as Counter Strike, N.F.S and face painting. The students of SSE won various prizes in the three day long programme.
