The B.Sc programme follows an interdisciplinary curriculum. This develops intellectual capacity, critical analysis and entrepreneurial capabilities in our students. During the internship component of the course, students get exposure to both NGO and Corporate work cultures. The course also encourages exposure to research via research projects and dissertations. Additionally, the course includes specializations through which students can choose to excel in finance, pure quantitative analysis, social sciences or a combination of these specialties. By the end of three years, the students of SSE are ready for careers in diverse roles. From research analysts and consultants to leaders, entrepreneurs or academicians.
Courses included in the first year of the programme cover the basic understanding of economics, mathematics and statistics. Our students gain a deeper understanding of each course in the first semester, preparing them for the advanced levels of the same that will be taught in the second semester. In the second semester students will be introduced to new courses like business accounts and financial analysis.
In the second year, students have the opportunity to learn interdisciplinary courses like, political economy, financial management, public policy and administration and foreign languages. Exposure to these courses helps them to hone their skills for diverse careers. In this year, students will complete research projects and internships. In addition, value added courses like advanced excel and data analytics are an integral part of the programme. In the fourth semester, the choice to participate in the student exchange programme is available to all students. The Internationalization experience encourages multicultural exposure and understanding.
The final year aims at preparing students to either pursue academics further, preparing them for admissions to prestigious institutes and universities or to find gainful employment with our esteemed recruiters.
