Modular Course in Quantitative Economics
Symbiosis School of Economics is offering a modular course in Quantitative Economics which is designed to add value through the enhancement of the quantitative knowledge base that is required to learn the modern economic perspectives. The modules of this modular course are divided into three parts viz. Mathematics and Statistics for Economics, Mathematical Economics and Econometrics. The syllabus content of this programme is designed in such a way that will fulfil a pre-requisite for the entrance of Masters Degree Programme in Economics in Indian and Foreign Universities. Further, it will also help the students to sit for the entrance examinations of some premier Indian institutes like Delhi School of Economics, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Studies, Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Madras School of Economics, Centre for Development Studies, Kerala etc. in their Masters Programmes in Economics.
Modules
- Foundations of Mathematics and Statistics
- Mathematical Economics: Fundamental and Advanced
- Econometrics
Total Duration of the Course: 2nd Year and Final Year Students of B.A/B.Sc in Economics. Elementary knowledge of Mathematics is preferred.
Eligibility Criteria: 75 hours
Commencing Date: 11th July 2016
Last date for receiving applications:: 2nd July 2016
Course Fee: Rs. 12000.00 to be paid by demand draft in favor of ‘Symbiosis School of Economics’ payable at Pune.
