B.Sc. Induction Programme – 1st July, 2015
Entering a whole new world of fun and wisdom can enchant anyone altogether! The Induction programme for the students of B.Sc. Economics Honors for the batch of-2018 was aimed at doing just that. The program kick started by all the SY and TY students giving the dreamy-eyed FYs a warm and generous welcome. It was elevated to a new environment when Dr. Jyoti Chandiramani inspired and motivated the aspiring audience with her short speech. Landing into SSE required a briefing about the college, its expectations from the new students and its buzzing space of activities and that was provided in the form of a presentation. It included the examination system, rules, and regulations, to name a few. Following this up, was also a familiarization with the teachers and administrative staff, with whom they would be closely working with. An interesting cameo was made by one of the TY seniors, Mehak Gulati who shared with the inquisitive audience, her insights, and experience on her Student Exchange Programme in Germany. After some information on the academic aspects of SSE, it was time for the extra-curricular dimension to take centre-stage! Representatives of their respective clubs talked and explained as to what their clubs have already achieved and their targets and opportunities for the newcomers. It certainly was a vital piece of information as it cleared the dilemma of choice of clubs. Q/A session was then brought into the picture wherein KK Roy Sir and Sukalpa Ma’am addressed the various questions posed by the parents. Thereafter, the talent house of SSE came to the fore and the crowd excitedly cheered them on! Dance, Music, and Humor, everything was out there! Such were the levels of euphoria! It all did come to an end but not before one thing had happened: a promise to a most exciting and wonderful journey of college life, at the Symbiosis School of Economics….
