Trip to Nimagaon Bhogi On the 31st of January 2011


On the 31st of January 2011, the college had organized a trip to Nimagaon Bhogi in Shirur taluka of Pune district. The village runs towards ideal Indian village status uder guidance from an NGO called Ashta No Kai with a motto of 100% literacy rate. Students of BSc first year accompanied by Director Jyoti Chandiramani, and Faculties Ms. Jasmeet Kaur, Mr. Ashish Thakre and Dr. Roudra Chakraborty guided by Mrs. Armeen Modi of Ashta No Kai went there to get the essence of way towards a better life. Education System, Self Help Group, Kishori Mandal, Panchayat System, Agriculture, Dairy System etc. were studied, analyzed their pros and cons, and conducted problem solving session for each by different groups of students.
